Super Nannies Fee Structure, Conditions and Banking details.

Fee structure:

  • Super Nannies charge a once off placement fee of 10% (no VAT is charged) of the total annual salary (total salary is inclusive of transport costs and cell phone allowances) of an employee placed with the client, with a wage of R2500.
  • A non refundable registration fee of R150 is charged upfront to cover the initial expense of finding you a nanny. We will provide you with between 3 and 6 nannies to interview.
  • Should you wish to interview more than 6 candidates, we will charge an additional registration fee. 90% of our clients do find the right candidate out of the 6 candidates as we do take time to find the right match. Please find our banking details below.
  • The registration fee is applicable once profiles have been forwarded to the client.
  • Should we arrange interviews and the client cancels, or no longer requires our services, the registration fee is still due. Cancellation of interviews must be done at least 4 – 6 hours prior to the interview.
  • We also place nannies on a temporary basis. Super Nannies charge a minimum of R750.00 for a temporary placement of 1 month or less. A rate of R500 for each additional month is charged for holiday & maternity placements (maximum 3 month temporary placement.)
  • If your temporary placement becomes longer than the stipulated three months, you will be charged a permanent placement fee.
  • We ask that candidates traveling by public transport, be reimbursed for their traveling expenses once the interview is completed. This fee is R25 payable directly to candidate.
  • Super Nannies suggests a three day trial once the candidate is chosen from the interview process, to affirm the suitability of the candidate to the clients needs. Should the client wish to extend the trial period an additional cost of R50.00 per day is payable to the agency. A domestic nanny may only start to work in a permanent position once the agency fee has been paid otherwise she is available for other interviews.
  • During the trial period a nanny is paid daily. The daily rate for a 9hr day from 8am – 5pm varies between R150 and R180 depending on transport costs. A half day rate is R120 for 4 hrs of work, inclusive of transport. Please pay the nanny directly. We only charge an agency fee after the 3 day trial period.
  • All Fees are due within 7 days of invoice or should the nanny start before/during the 7 days, the placement fee is than due on the first working day that the nanny starts her job.
  • Super Nannies is not registered for VAT, and will therefore not charge you for VAT.
  • A 10% discount is offered on all future placements.

Placement Conditions:

  • The client is liable to pay the placement fee within 7 days once the client has requested the services of the candidate and the candidate has accepted the offer of employment.
  • Interest of a rate of 10% will be charged on overdue placement fees.
  • Placement – should the employment be terminated for whatever reason during the said three month period, the client must advise Super Nannies within 3 days of such termination and the reason for termination.
  • Super Nannies undertakes to find one suitable replacement for the employer if the employment relationship is terminated, for whatsoever reason, within the first three months of the placement. Super Nannies shall not charge an additional fee for this second placement.
  • However, in the unlikely event of the agency not being able to provide another suitable candidate, Super Nannies is not liable to refund the replacement fee
  • All responsibility for deciding on the suitability of a candidate for employment rests with the client. Although Super Nannies undertakes to take all reasonable steps to verify that a potential employee is suitable for employment with the client, Super Nannies gives no guarantee in this regard.
  • Once an employment relationship arises between client and employee, Super Nannies shall have no liability for any loss of or damage to property suffered by the client, whether directly or indirectly, or any injury suffered by any person, whether directly or indirectly, arising from the candidate’s employment with the client.
  • Super Nannies shall not be liable for any injury to the employee, or damage to her property, suffered or incurred during the course and scope of her employment with the client. NOTE: Super Nannies suggest that employers do not leave valuable jewellery, wallets or money lying around.

Placement Process:

  • We will arrange for you to interview 3-6 candidates, or more if needed, in your own home, at your convenience.
  • We are happy to advise you on all aspects of the process, e.g. deciding what your needs are, interview questions etc
  • We advise on a minimum of 3 days to trial a nanny. This is important to see how the candidate integrates with your family and how you relate to each other.
  • We encourage the employer to send the nanny for a TB test if her health seems to be compromised. However, you cannot request an HIV test / status unless the candidate offers her consent.
  • We can help facilitate the signing of a contract between you and the employee. We do also provide you with UIF forms. Please visit our FAQ-UIF on line to understand the UIF process.
  • Please note that the nannies are free agents until they start a trial service with a potential employer. This means we may send a nanny for more than one interview at a time. We work on a first come, first serve basis. If we are in a situation where two potential employers are wanting to hire the same nanny, we encourage the nanny to make the final decision.
  • Our mission is to find the best possible match for both employer and nanny, to ensure a long term, healthy, working relationship. We insist on a trial period as this is an opportunity for both parties (employer and nanny) to confirm if they are happy with each other.
